The Commission will fill 6574 vacancies under the Combined Civil Services Examination – IV (Group IV Services) across 46 posts, including Village Administrative Officer, Junior Assistant, Bill Collector, Revenue Assistant, Tax Collector, Typist, Steno Typist, Personal Clerk, Laboratory Assistant, Sales Assistant, Forest Watcher and Forest Guard with Driving Licence. Pay is in Level 3, Level 5, Level 8 and Level 10, and some posts carry EPF. 4. APPLICATION FEE
- One Time Registration (OTR) fee: ₹150/- (OTR is valid for five years from the date of registration).
- Examination fee: ₹100/-, payable at the time of submitting the online application, unless exemption is claimed.
- Fee exemption: Persons with Benchmark Disability and Destitute Widows – full exemption; Ex-Servicemen – two free chances; Backward Classes – three free chances (see Annexure II).

- The examination is conducted as a single-stage Written Examination; the merit list is prepared on total marks secured in the written examination.
- In case of equal marks, the candidate with the higher qualification is placed above.

- Differently abled candidates who studied English only may opt for General English (SSLC Standard) instead of the Tamil test (minimum 40%, i.e., 60 marks).
8. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION
- Village Administrative Officer, Junior Assistant (Security / Non Security), Bill Collector (Posts 1-5): Minimum General Educational Qualification (pass in SSLC of Tamil Nadu).
- SSLC pass: Junior Assistant / Revenue Assistant / Tax Collector (Municipal Council, Municipal Corporation, Greater Chennai Corporation, TN Adi Dravidar Housing), Bill Collector (3214), Junior Administrative Assistant (3835), Record Clerk (3839).
- Degree posts: Junior Assistant 3521 – graduate from UGC-recognised University; 3816 – any degree; 3788 – any degree with Diploma in Co-operative Management (or) Co-operation as a special subject; 3520 and 3848 – B.Com. degree; 3321 – degree plus Certificate Course in Computer on Office Automation; Sales Assistant (3806) – any degree (Business Administration / Commerce / Marketing / Economics preferable).
- Typist, Steno Typist, Shorthand Typist, Personal Clerk, Junior Assistant cum Typist, Junior Administrative Assistant (Computer Operator): SSLC (Typist 3817: Higher Secondary; Steno Typist 3672: degree) plus Government Technical Examination in Typewriting / Shorthand as prescribed and Certificate Course in Computer on Office Automation (DOTE, Tamil Nadu); for certain posts this may be acquired within probation or two years of appointment.
- Telephone Operator (3822): SSLC pass and telephone board operation training certificate. Executive Officer Grade IV (1655): SSLC (or) title of ‘Tamil Pulavar’ recognised by UGC. Junior Inspector of Co-operative Societies (1095): SSLC for reserved categories; Intermediate / Pre-University pass for others.
- Senior Laboratory Assistant (3746) / Laboratory Assistant (3103): Higher Secondary (plus two) with science subject (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Zoology or Botany for 3746). Forest Watcher (3319): Minimum General Educational Qualification. Forest Guard with Driving Licence (3318): Higher Secondary with Physics / Chemistry / Biology / Zoology / Botany, valid driving licence, three years’ driving experience certificate and first aid certificate.
- Candidates should possess the educational, technical qualifications and experience prescribed for the post on the date of notification.
9. HOW TO APPLY

- Register first on the One Time Registration (OTR) platform and then fill up the online application; already registered candidates can proceed directly.
- Application Correction Window opens from 09.11.2026 to 11.11.2026; no modification is allowed after it closes.
- Select the post option carefully: ‘Posts other than Forest Guard with Driving Licence / Forest Watcher’ or ‘All the Posts’.
- Any claim made after submission of the online application will not be entertained.

- Admission to all stages is purely provisional; the Commission may reject candidature at any stage if a wrong claim or rule violation is confirmed.
